ok.
this is a resubmission,...i know.
i'm starting to figure out this print thing now,...and i'm submitting
this print version of 'shadoface' so that i can get it approved
as a print.
this was meant to be my first print actually, but got rejected the
first time,...but, i think i've got it right this time.

the difference in this version and the earlier version is that i
rescanned it, recropped it and added the 'rule' and title at the
bottom,...much like the print version of 'never broken'.
it's cool if you don't feel like commenting on it,...sorry for having to resubmit like this.
but, i am interested in what you guys think of the way i did
the title at the bottom,...should i continue doing it like this?
any input would be MORE than welcome!
and i tell you what,...i'll try really really REALLY hard to
submit something cool and new by the end of the weekend,...
ok?
pft. you're thinking,...'big deal. shut up already!!!'
heh.

so anyway,...here's a bit of the description you might see on the print at the,...uhm,...print place,...lol,...whateva,...

----------

'Shadoface' was my first submission to deviantArt that attracted any attention to my work.
So I guess it's fitting that it should be my first print submission as well. (as it turns out, it's gonna be the second,...sorry!) Not to mention, it
was the first work of mine commented on by my good friend Marion Herrmann, whom you
know as nighty, and whom I am indepted to if for no other reason than for being such a
good friend.
As for the technical aspects of this piece, I used pencils, inks, brushes, a tongue depressor
and a toothbrush. As you can tell I'm a nut for incidental textures such as wet on wet
watermarks and splatter techniques. I rarely use anything other than strathmore paper.
It's the only 'splurge' I ever allow myself.
The style itself is a 'loose' mixed mediums style I've been developing for a few years to give
myself a break from the more disciplined style that I use for my strictly pencil work.
A bit of realism and abstract.

----------

ok,...i'm outta here. the sun's out,...and the grass is a needin'...
uhm,...you know.
