she offered a bitter taste by dholms she offered a bitter taste by dholms
i drank every drop.

----------

hmmmm.
well.
it had to happen didnít it?
me submit something new?
yeah. iím a bit stunned myself actually.
lemme see if i can still figure out what to do here,...

one of my meager submissions to the surrealism chronicles ix at neosynthesis .
itís a great chronicle people. i urge you to get over there and check it out when youíve ran
out of pornsites to go to. heh.
yeah. i know. like THATíS gonna EVER happen.
;)
well,...do it anyway!
this chronicle really is special.
why?
hmmmm. itís my last one. *shrug*
iíve already said my Ďgoodbyesí and Ďthank yousí there. but, i wanted to wear my colors one
last time.
special thanks to all my brothers and sisters at neosynthesis,...past and present,...so many,...
so many great ones,...i wanted to list them all, but iím too afraid iíd forget someone. nobody
likes to be forgotten. sorta hope they donít forget about me. well,...there ARE a few things
over the past year that i wouldnít mind being forgotten. heh. maybe one or two drunken rants. lol.
uhm. but,...not the chance to hang out with so many great and good and talented artists.
the collaborations. the projects. the chronicles. pushing the limits. pushing each other.
thatís what itís all about. thatís what itís meant to be about.

it was nice to run with a pack for awhile. something iíve never been used to doing. it felt good.
but circumstances arose that left me with the decision to break away.
you know. some old dogs really can learn new tricks. you canít make Ďem turn Ďem though.

special thanks to marija/beyondlight for her wonderful nagginí/bitchiní/moaniní AND pushing me
through this chronicle. donít know what i would have done without her. and thanks for saving our
collaboration as well. you did most of the work on it my little raginí croatianí. itís yourís to submit.

and of course one last thank you to justin/neosynthetic and neosynthesis for enduring me.
an easy task it was not.
heh.
ask anyone.

later.

there was a theme I did with a non profit i worked with before called New Mexico OATH: Organized Against Trafficking Humans and we did a silent auction of paintings around anti human trafficing....this reminded me of a piece a girl painted of a woman in a jar. Well done. Here I think about prostitutes and the bitterness of some in their disposition....and how the customers take it and pay for it bitter and all. It's a beautiful piece

Is this like a mix between a spoon and a wine glass or are my eyes playing tricks on me? Awsome painting by the way.

:jawdrop: First off, just wow. I saw this in your gallery and I was really curious my curiousity didn't kill the cat. She has such a look on her face that is not only seductive but spiteful. I love how you've turned her into the class using the fabric... plus the darkness of this piece just adds so much of a punch.

Very beautiful work. I love how the woman and the wine glass are in the center. I also enjoy the fact that part of her body is inside of the wine glass while the other half is on the outside. It reminds me of a genie in a bottle except this lovely genie is in a wine glass. Wonderful use of color.

Your gallery is incredible. I sorta picked a painting that caught my eye at random to comment on. I am truly speechless however. You have such vision, creativity, originality that it is hard to know what to say. I didn't expect to find such a firm grasp of color, light, and composition anywhere short of a large city's fine arts museum. I really don't know what to say that you haven't heard more qualified artists say before.
Anyway, great work. I am amazed at your talent.

Everything in this painting is perfectly balanced. The vertical direction of the glass - woman wonderfully flows through the piece. The colors and the background texture offers a warm and earthy feeling and altogether magically matches the meaning. I can relate to this piece. :+fav:

long time now i wanted to comment on this creation from my other account, but never made it till today :)

i like very much the textures, to my eyes they look like soft fabrics making the corridor of a cave
what makes impression to me is the warm colours against her cold, devilish face/look

wonderful work

Is that watercolor? The body looks kinda grainy - pastels, maybe?

Are you familiar with that cat, David Choe? Your color sense reminds me of his oil paintings -- it's like there's every color, mixing together everywhere, and some just stand out more than others. It's craziness. Especially with waters, I imagine that's a bitch of an effect to create.

PS. you smell like tuna.

The integration of glass and cloth is really nice, as are the textures (of course) and the color palette, though the fading of glass into bg at the bottom makes it seem to curve a bit and flattens the whole piece. Maybe think about that, but otherwise I really dig it.

Looks like you had a great time while in neosynthesis, and i'm sure everyone was happy to have you there too!
Bitter never tasted so good, ey? This is really beautiful D, I love the softness and the way you worked such warm, bright colors so gently into it all. Her face and clothing are really eye pleasing, and the highlights and reflections in the glass from top to bottom are perfect. I've always loved the dips of light and dark in the thin handles of wine glasses, and you caught every one of them.
Another great piece, man. Now get off your pool floatie and do another one ;)
